Cyclones

Cyclones are used for cleaning process air. Are used in drying/cooling lines and for dust particles and impurities cleaning. A fan draws air through cyclone where it spins inside the walls and gets separated from heavier particles. The cone gathers the heavy particles and exit through an airlock. Size of cyclone depends on volume flow rate, pressure drop, degree of contamination, type of impurities, air properties, etc. Cyclones are constructed either by mild or stainless steel.
