Disc mill

Disc mills are used for fine and medium grinding of small grained cereals. The grinding chamber consists of two discs, one rotating attached to the motor and one fixed. The gap between the discs is regulated by moving the non rotating disc. The mill is fed axially through the center of the non rotating disc. The material passes between the discs which are profiled by hard wearing grinding plates. The distance between the discs determine the grinding degree. The ground material exits the chamber radially and through the outlet. Disc mill also includes feeding screw and inlet magnet. Capacities range from 1 to 12 tons/h when grinding wheat at 14% humidity.
