Access towers and catwalks

Access towers are required to support bucket elevators and provide access to elevator heads and silos catwalks. Access towers vary according to the number of elevators that they support and the size depends on the elevator height. They can be constructed with inclined or vertical ladders. Vertical ladders are equipped with protecting rings. Towers that have vertical ladders also have intermediate decks every 4 or 6m height. Towers can be constructed by painted mild steel or galvanized steel. Access towers can be installed with cladding for weather protection.
Catwalks provide access to silos and to the filling equipment. Catwalks bridge a row or several rows of silos. The size depends on the filling equipment, such as a chain conveyor and the diameter of the silos. They consist of galvanized structure with railing, walking deck with grating and supports for filling equipment.
